SALT LAKE CITY-- A third woman has filed a federal complaint against a former Box Elder County Sheriff's deputy accused of illegally strip-searching women during traffic stops.
The Salt Lake Tribune reportsHolly Griffin filed the complaint this week against formerdeputy Scott Womack.
Womack has pleaded not guilty to eight federal misdemeanor counts related to the illegal strip searches on women during traffic stops in 2010. His trial is set for June 25.
Griffin alleges Womack pulled her over, claiming she had no car insurance, even though she did.
She said he then claimed she had an outstanding speeding ticket, and gave her the option of going to jail or allowing him to search her for tattoos in private areas.
