Davis school official will retire July 1

FARMINGTON -- Paul Waite, assistant superintendent of the Davis School District, is retiring effective July 1.

Waite began his education career at Viewmont High School in 1971 as a world history teacher and assistant football and basketball coach. He worked at Bountiful High School for 10 years as a teacher, head football coach and athletic director.

He also served as an assistant principal and principal at the junior high and high school levels. In 1997, he was appointed the district's secondary school director and in 2005, he was named an assistant superintendent.

An open house will be held in his honor from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 26 in the Kendell Building PDC, 70 E. 100 North.
