SALT LAKE CITY -- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints History Library will host the June 2012 Men and Women of Faith lecture, "The Untold Story of Mormon Pioneers With Disabilities," at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Church Office Building main auditorium, 50 E. North Temple St.
The event is free and open to the public.
According to a news release from the church, Dr. Bryce Fifield will highlight courageous stories of Mormon pioneers with disabilities who crossed or attempted to cross the plains on their way to Utah.
Dr. Fifield is a graduate of Utah State University, where he received both his bachelor's degree in psychology and his master's degree in counseling and school psychology.
He also received a doctoral degree in special education and rehabilitation from the University of Oregon.
