Be prepared to cheer Ragnar competitors today

LOGAN — The 10th Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back, a home-grown running tradition, will blitz through Cache, Weber and Morgan counties today as 13,000 competitors and their support staff compete in a stage race through rural Utah.

The event begins early today at Utah State University. Teams will run different legs of a 197.4-mile course which ends Saturday at Park City High School.

Race organizers invited fans to follow the competitors, cheer them on, and be aware of them as they travel the roads in Cache Valley, Ogden Valley, around Pineview Reservoir, Trapper’s Loop, Morgan Valley and south. The Weber County roads on the race path will see heavy runner traffic from 10 a.m. today through noon on Saturday.

The first teams are expected in Park City around 9 a.m.
