10,000 strong finish Wasatch Back Relay

PARK CITY -- Just like someone tweeted on Saturday evening ... Wasatch Your Back!

The 2012 Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back drew to a close on Saturday in Park City, as more than 10,000 competitors, fans and supporters celebrated a pretty impressive adventure race over more than 170 miles.

Top of Utah competitors virtually swept the leaderboards in the ninth annual race.

In the women's division, WOO -- the women of Ogden, won the race in 24 hours, nine minutes, 13.4 seconds, topping the Weber State women's alumni (24:23)9.8) and Davis County XC Girls (26:20:22.6).

The three rivals generally vie for the top spot.

In the men's division, BYU Cross country won in an impressive 19:07:24.0, topping Weber State XC (19:49:52.3) and Davis XC (21:40:52.4).

In the mixed division, Runners Corner finished in 22:15:24.4, followed by Land Sharks (25:50:44.1) and Rangasty (25:55:57.4).

In the men's ultra competition, Wasatch Running won in 24:01:04.1, followed by the Dakota Harriers (25:@5:11.7) and Six Legged Freaks (27:39:56.7).

In the women's ultra, This Might Have Been a Bad Decision won in 38:51:38.4, ahead of Barbie Ultra Queen of Ragnar (39:50:21.6). In the mixed ultra, Aim For The Bushes out of Farmington won in 27:31:21.7, ahead of Strange Natives (29:26:04.0).

The race -- which is the original race that now spans the nation -- concluded Saturday at Park City High School after an early Friday start at Utah State.
