SYRACUSE -- A plan to expand the Tanner Clinic has been given the green light.
City council members voted unanimously to approve a site plan, which could potentially add 6,900 square feet to the clinic at approximately 2038 West and 1900 South.
The expansion will allow the clinic to add up to seven additional doctors, including an OB/GYN and family practitioners, said Kent Andersen, city planner.
The expansion plan includes expanding parking by 118 spaces, which exceeds the allowed parking spaces based on the square footage of the building.
Andersen said the planning commission and staff are comfortable with the added parking, noting some parking would be forced to the road during peak times, without the additional spaces.
