Essay contest winners announced

SYRACUSE — Winners of the Syracuse Museum’s second annual essay competition were recently honored at a city meeting.

Winners included Killie Garner, who took first in the elementary division, followed by Te’a Roberson and Keely Fajtek. The junior high winner was Kassidy Garner, followed by Rosali Beeli and Clarissa Prigmore.

The essay contest is held in an effort to help young people focus on the city’s past and preserving that history.
