Roy council hires new fire chief

ROY — Jason Poulsen is the new fire chief in Roy.

The city council ratified his hiring Tuesday night at the regular city council meeting.

Poulsen has been serving as Clinton’s fire chief for the past year and a half.

He will start his duties in Roy on July 1. Prior to his service with Clinton, he worked in Roy as a paramedic and then as a fire caption, for a total of 15 years.
