BLUFFDALE — A 42-year-old Bluffdale man faces negligent homicide charges after police say he handed his wife the gun she used to kill herself last fall.
Shawn Langford told police he was at his home Sept. 5 and was trying to fix his Remington rifle.
Police say his 33-year-old wife, Rashell Langford, was drunk and high on drugs when she allegedly asked to see her husband’s gun.
Investigators say the woman put the gun in her mouth and shot herself.
Shawn Langford was charged Thursday with misdemeanor negligent homicide and reckless endangerment. It’s not clear whether he has an attorney. Attempts to reach him by phone Friday were not successful.
