KAYSVILLE – The newly formed Yard and Garden committee presented its first Yard of the Month Awards at a recent city council meeting.
The committee divided the city into quadrants from which four winners were selected. June awards went to Dan and Michelle Kemp, David and Diana Hill, Richard and Sannette Lowe, and Cammon and Tilese Arrington.
Yards were judged according to four criteria: beauty and creativity; wise use of water; fruit and vegetable production; and use of outdoor holiday decor.
The committee will continue to select monthly winners throughout the growing season.
