PRICE -- A 28-year-old Huntington man has pleaded guilty in the hit-and-run death of construction site flagger last summer.
Authorities measured Luke Shroyer's blood alcohol level at 0.119 percent when he fatally struck 54-year-old Linda Potter in the wee hours of the morning Aug. 6. That's above the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Police say Potter was carried about 250 feet after she was hit and died at the scene south of Price.
Emery County sheriff's deputies who caught up with Shroyer about 20 miles away say he told them he thought he'd hit a deer.
Shroyer is set for sentencing Aug. 13. He faces up to five years in prison for the felony automobile homicide charge and up to six months in jail for misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident.
