SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City police are investigating after a 46-year-old man's body was found in the Jordan River.
Authorities say a maintenance worker cleaning up trash spotted the body about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
They identified him as Francisco Perez Cruz.
Salt Lake City Police Lt. Melody Gray tells KSL there were no obvious signs of foul play, but a medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine an exact cause of death.
Gray says it appears the body had been in the water for a day or two. It's not clear where the man first entered the river.
