Centerville modifies parking ordinance

Jun 27 2012 - 11:14pm

CENTERVILLE - In an effort to keep city streets free of excessive numbers of vehicles, the city council modified its parking ordinance. The city now has the state definitions of vehicle and motor vehicle included in the "whereas clauses" of the ordinance.

The current ordinance restricts motor vehicles from being left on the street for more than 48 hours, and states that other types of vehicles -- boats, trailers, and buses -- should not be left more than 24 hours without being moved.

The council approved the changes without discussion.
