Centerville OKs public utility easement

CENTERVILLE — The city council recently approved a public utility easement for a couple to move forward with home-building plans.

Property owners at 535 N. Rowland Way appeared before the planning commission at the end of April for approval of a small subdivision waiver/flag lot. That was unanimously approved with conditions.

One of the conditions was that the city council also approve the easement, which was done at the recent June meeting.

The agreement grants the city a perpetual right of way and easement to lay, maintain, operate, repair, inspect, protect, install, remove and replace public utilities and related structures and facilities as needed.
