OGDEN -- Ogden City has adopted its budget for the fiscal year 2013.
City council discussions throughout the budget process focused primarily on city services, employee wages and benefits, public safety, community planning, parks and recreation, and economic development.
When compared to last year’s budget, Ogden’s General Fund revenue will increase by 1.2 percent to $51.2 million.
Ogden City Corporation’s overall budget is projected to increase to $141.5 million.
Included in the budget is funding for a 4 percent increase in health insurance for Ogden City employees.
The city is adding jobs and reducing jobs, but the net effect will be one less position in city staffing. The full budget is available for review at www.ogdencity.com.
