SALT LAKE CITY — Rocky Mountain Power is warning Spanish-speaking ratepayers of a scam involving calls from supposed customer service agents.
The utility says thieves are calling to tell customers their electricity will be cut off unless they make an immediate payment by credit card.
Rocky Mountain Power says it never demands on-the-spot payments, and that people shouldn’t provide credit card information to unsolicited callers.
