PROVO -- The misery continues for the Ogden Outlaws. Despite rallying from an early deficit to forge a 1-1 tie early in the second half, Ogden ultimately came up short as BYU scored twice in the final half hour to claim a 3-1 win at South Stadium.
The loss was Ogden's fourth straight as the Outlaws fell to 6-7-2 overall. The setback also eliminated Ogden from contention for a playoff berth.
Ogden and BYU battled to a scoreless draw for much of the first half, with the Cougars scoring in first-half stoppage time to pull ahead 1-0 at the break. The Outlaws scored just two minutes into the second half as leading goal scorer Daniel Burnham tallied his sixth goal to level the match.
Ogden will wrap up its 2012 campaign on Sunday at 8 p.m. against FC Tucson in Tucson, Ariz.
