OGDEN -- Police still have not identified a suspect in a Tuesday brush fire that destroyed 15 acres in Ogden Canyon.
The fire started around 6:30 a.m. and was under control by about 9:30 a.m.
Between 50 and 60 homes were evacuated immediately because of the danger the fire posed to structures and residents, fire officials said. Ogden Canyon Road was closed at Harrison Boulevard until fire crews extinguished the fire.
Ogden police are asking for help from any witnesses who may have been in the area around the time of the fire. Specifically, police are seeking any information about persons, vehicles or anything suspicious seen near the entrance to Ogden Canyon.
Anyone with information should call Detective Darren Goff at 801-629-8029.
