Layton officials approve subdivision phase

LAYTON -- City officials have approved phase four of a subdivision project on the city’s south side, which involves nine lots on 2.25 acres.

In recent action, the city council voted unanimously to approve phase four of Cottages at Chapel Park at approximately 100 South and 800 East. The lots approved in the project area range from 7,000 to 13,400 square feet, according to Bill Wright, director of community and economic development. None of the projected homes will have basements.

Wright said the developer has found a niche in the market in developing single level homes.
