Motorcyclist hurt in collision with car

UINTAH — A motorcyclist broke his arm after another driver made a U-turn in front of him Saturday and the vehicles collided.

A 45-year-old man turned off westbound U.S. 84, but decided he needed to get back on and made a U-turn on Highway 89 near 6550 South to do so, said Weber County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Creager. But he turned in front of northbound traffic and a 25-year-old man on a motorcycle crashed into the side of the other man’s Chevrolet Cruze about 4:20 p.m.

The motorcyclist had road rash, a gash on his leg and a broken arm, Creager said. The driver of the Cruze was uninjured and cited for an unsafe U-turn.
