SOUTH OGDEN — Several champions were crowned in the Ogden Junior Tennis Championships on Saturday as boys and girls divisions wrapped up their finals at Ogden Athletic Club.

Young tennis players competed in championship and consolation matches on Saturday in boys and girls division in ages 10-18, capping a week of play.

At boys 18 singles, Parker Jones defeated Colton McBride, 6-0, 6-1. Jones and Gabirel Cerritos also defeated McBride and Spencer Hafen at 18 doubles, 6-2, 6-1.

At boys 16 singles, Anthony Panuzio topped Nathan Hausman, 6-3; 6-3. At boys 14 singles, Jaxon Hall defeated Joseph Cooke, 6-7(8-6), 6-4, 6-4.

At boys 12 singles, Redd Owen defeated Kyler Hartman, 6-1, 6-2.

At boys 10 signles, Tegan Hartman topped Isaac Smith, 6-1, 6-2.

At girls 18 singles, Emily Murnin defeated Brooke Burnside, 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.

At girls 16 singles, Eliza Hafen defeated Hailey Daniels, 6-4, 6-2.

At girls 14 singles, Sicely Ferreira won when Annaliese County withdrew due to injury. At girls 12 singles, Emmie Moore defeated Anna Findley, 6-1, 6-3 in round robin play.

Juniors play throughout the summer as part of the U.S. Tennis Association’s Intermountain Division.
