ST. GEORGE -- Flash flooding has hit St. George after thunderstorms rolled through southwest Utah.
City official Marc Mortensen says authorities responded to incidents all over the city Sunday evening.
He tells the Spectrum of St. George that there are reports of flooded homes, cars stuck in water and landslides.
Residents tell the newspaper that the downpour came suddenly and lasted less than a half an hour, but it was enough to bring floods to the drought-stricken area. The western part of the city was hit hardest.
The National Weather Service says up to a half inch of rain fell, but some area received an inch.
No injuries or major accidents were reported, and as of 9 p.m. Mortensen says all major roadways were open and clear.
