AAA program set to assist parks

SALT LAKE CITY -- In these tight budgetary times, AAA Utah is stepping forward to support education programs relating to responsibly enjoying Utah’s 43 state parks.

From now through Aug. 30, AAA Utah’s “Summer Road Trip” campaign will donate $5 to Friends of Utah State Parks for each AAA Insurance quote completed within one of its branch offices. The quotes are free, according to Rolayne Fairclough, AAA Utah spokesperson.

The funds will be used to sustain informational outreach efforts and preserve, protect and promote the parks.

AAA is committed to the legacy and preservation of unique natural, cultural and historical resources and honored to be working with the state parks organization in this effort, said Paul Gaffney, president and CEO of AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah.

State parks give people places to go on adventures and AAA has ways to support people taking part in those adventures, said Justina Parsons-Bernstein, State Parks Heritage and Outdoor Education Resources Coordinator.
