Editor, The article entitled "Not worth the risk" that ran in the Standard-Examiner on July 19 stated that fireworks distributor for the Top of Utah, Taylor Talbot, claimed that fireworks were getting a bum rap because there haven’t been any fires caused by fireworks. I feel sorry for any business owner’s losing money, but that said, let’s use some common sense. Heaven forbid if the next fireworks sold were responsible for several homes being destroyed and the loss of lives. It is kind of like a person who says "I always leave my gun loaded because you always hear it is the unloaded gun that kills someone." Yeah, doesn’t make much sense, does it? Stan Jacobson Ogden
