ANTELOPE ISLAND -- During August, Antelope Island will offer activities ranging from exhibits to field trips.
From Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, the park will present an art exhibit featuring the images of wildlife, birds, and scenery of the island by photographer Tom Mathewson. The exhibit will be in the island's visitor center.
Island staff at 7 a.m. on Aug. 2 will provide birding behind the gates.
Those interested in the early morning bird walk are to meet at the Historic Fielding Garr Ranch on the east side of the road at Mile Marker 8. Registration is required.
There also is meeting at 3 p.m. Aug. 2 with the park naturalist at the visitor center theater. Park staff will provide information on the intriguing past of Great Salt Lake.
