West Haven yard sale to help boy who has cancer

WEST HAVEN — Friends, family and classmates are coming together to help a teen boy who has brain cancer, and they’re giving the public a chance to help him as well.

Dillon Melle, 13, was diagnosed earlier this year. On Saturday, there will be a yard sale, fundraiser and silent auction at Wood Creations, 2420 S. 1900 West, in West Haven, to help his family pay for Dillon’s medical expenses.

The yard sale runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., while food and other activities, such as face painting and a bounce house, start at 10 a.m. Family friends and local companies donated many of the items and equipment for the event.
