FRUIT HEIGHTS -- An upcoming road project on Highway 89 in Davis County will have an impact on motorists.
The Utah Department of Transportation will begin work to resurface U.S. 89 between the Cherry Hills interchange and 400 North in Fruit Heights today.
The work will be conducted nightly between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
UDOT spokesman Vic Saunders said motorists should expect congestion on U.S. 89 during this work, which is expected to take 15 days to complete.
Motorists with time-sensitive travel should consider alternate north-south routes, such as Interstate 15 or SR-126.
Local residents should anticipate some low-level construction-related noise and vibrations.
