Paul C. and Lola B. Hatch of Layton will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their family at a family barbecue hosted by their children at the residence of Jay and Paula Ritchie. They also will see "Phantom of the Opera" in Las Vegas as an anniversary gift from their children.
They were married on July 31, 1954, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 37 years of service. She was a full-time homemaker.
They have served in many positions in the LDS Church. He served as bishop in the Layton 1st Ward and also on the stake high council. She enjoyed many years as a hostess at the Beehive House in Salt Lake City.
Their interests include traveling and spending time with their family.
Their children and spouses are Reed and Lori Hatch of Roy, Alan and Dixie Hatch of Layton, Jay and Paula Ritchie of West Point, Bart and Renee Weaver of West Point, and Brad and Lynne Allen of Syracuse.
They have 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren with one more on the way.
