Salt Lake police investigate man’s stabbing death

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are questioning several people after a 22-year-old man was found fatally stabbed in the Capitol Hill area.

Detectives say they got an anonymous call about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday reporting a man bleeding in the street.

The man was conscious and was transported to the hospital but died shortly after.

Investigators say they followed a blood trail leading from the victim to a nearby home. They questioned a 17-year-old boy inside and have since taken two others into custody for questioning.

Police Sgt. Shawn Josephson tells KSL officers are searching for two other women who may have witnessed the incident.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the man who died.
