OGDEN -- Three separate grass fires, apparently started by a southbound train, burned about an acre Wednesday afternoon in the vicinity of 1438 W. 2550 South.
Fire crews from the Ogden and Roy fire departments responded at 1:24 p.m. Because of dry conditions, tall grass and trees, as well as difficult access, the fire grew rapidly, according to a news release from the Ogden Fire Department.
The fire was extinguished, and no businesses were damaged. There were no injuries. Two engines, two brush trucks, one ambulance, one paramedic rescue and one battalion chief responded.
