New developer takes on old Layton project

LAYTON -- A small subdivision project on the city’s east side has been approved, after a new developer has come in to finish a project first approved more than four years ago.

In action taken recently, the city council granted final plat approval for phase 2 of the Foothills at Cherry Lane, located at approximately 2000 East Cherry Lane.

The project consists of 11 lots on 4.17 acres of vacant land and is being developed by Brighton Homes.

The project was known as Coventry Estates Subdivision when it was first given the green light in 2008.

The project is located in an R-1-10 zone.
