TREMONTON -- Three children and their mother were hospitalized after a semitrailer rollover Friday.
The 42-year-old father was driving the truck, loaded with apples, when he lost control about 4 p.m. on the Interstate 15 offramp at Exit 376, and the truck rolled over on its side, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Perry.
The driver's wife, also 42, was in the passenger seat and their six children were in the rear sleeper area of the cab.
A 7-year-old boy, 6-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy were taken to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City with various serious injuries, though none appear to be life-threatening, Perry said. The mother was also injured and taken to the University of Utah Hospital.
The father and three other children, boys ages 8 and 4, and a 1-year girl, were treated and released from Bear River Valley Hospital.
The father was cited for improper lane travel.
Troopers closed the off-ramp for about six hours to clean up the wreck.
