Layton city attorney named Utah State Bar's attorney of the year

SALT LAKE CITY — Layton City Attorney Gary Crane has been named Attorney of the Year by the Utah State Bar.

Crane serves as the city attorney for Layton. He previously worked as assistant city attorney for West Valley City and as a legal counsel to Bluffdale and Morgan cities.

Crane received a Master of Public Administration and his juris doctorate from Brigham Young University.

“Across the entire state, lawyers make positive and lasting contributions to their communities. Recognizing members of the Utah State Bar who go even further has been one of my favorite duties as Bar President,” said Bar President Rod Snow in a news release.
