lutheran church plans cowboy dinner benefit

HARRISVILLE — Members of Ascension Lutheran Church, 1105 N. Washington Blvd.,are gearing up for a fun evening on Friday in their Community Life Center, directly behind the church.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the event that will include a cowboy dinner along with dancing to the old-time cowboy music of The Saddle Strings.

“The evening will include a silent auction of ‘gently used’ and some new items you just can’t live without!” according to a news release from the church.

Tickets are $15 per person and are being pre-sold.

Tickets will not be available the day of the event.

Proceeds will benefit Ascension’s Community Life Center.

A dinner of pulled pork with all the trimmings will be served at 6 p.m.

Dancing and cowboy music will begin at 7 p.m.

Silent auction bids will close at 8:20 p.m.

“Put on your ‘western duds’ and come join us for an evening of fun,” states the news release. The community is invited for “fellowship, great food and silent auction items for all ages and pocketbooks.”
