Ervin Heslop

Ervin G. Heslop of Hooper celebrated his 91st birthday at a family dinner on Aug. 4 at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.

He was born July 31, 1921, in Ogden to William H. and Icivinda Heslop. He married Hazel Moore on June 19, 1946, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Active in the LDS Church, he served in the England Birmingham LDS Mission and with his wife in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Their children and spouses are Shanna and Don Thurman, Mary and Mike Nay, Clair and Joan Heslop, Melanie and David Miller, Jan and Kim Cragun, and Vinda and Mark Preslar.

He has 33 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
