Hazel Heslop

Hazel M. Heslop of Hooper celebrated her 90th birthday at a family dinner on Aug. 4 at the Maddox Ranch House Restaurant.

She was born Aug. 3, 1922, in Hooper to Joseph O. and Rae Moore. She married Ervin Heslop on June 19, 1946, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Salt Lake Temple.

She taught special education in Weber County schools.

She is active in the LDS Church and served a mission in Birmingham, England, and in the Ogden LDS Temple with her husband. She enjoys being with her children and grandchildren.

Their children and spouses are Shanna and Don Thurman, Mary and Mike Nay, Clair and Joan Heslop, Melanie and David Miller, Jan and Kim Cragun, and Vinda and Mark Preslar.

She has 33 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
