Provo girl escapes serious injury after being run over

PROVO — Authorities say a 2-year-old Provo girl is recovering at a hospital after being run over by a car.

Provo police say the girl was riding a scooter when a driver pulled into a parking lot Sunday and ran over her.

The child’s father, Michael Pulley, lifted the car with help from neighbors and pulled the girl out from under it.

The girl had only minor injuries. She is recovering at Primary Children’s Medical Center in Salt Lake City.

Police told The Salt Lake Tribune they don’t plan to file charges against the driver.
