OGDEN -- Ogden City fire crews responded to a fire at a single-family dwelling early Wednesday.
The structure fire at 2802 Jackson Ave began at approximately 12:24 a.m.
Fire crews were dispatched to the scene to find the garage of the home fully engulfed in flames. The fire spread to the interior of the house on the main level and into the basement.
Crews had controlled the fire by 1:40 a.m. The damage is estimated to be about $130,000, including to the house and garage and its contents.
Nineteen firefighters from Ogden City Fire Department responded to the fire, including two engines, two ladder trucks, one ambulance, one paramedic rescue, one battalion chief, the Fire Marshal and one Deputy Chief.
According to a neighbor, the fire was first noticed in the garage. The home owner heard the smoke detector and came outside to see the garage on fire and then got the three children out of the house.
No one was injured in the fire. The fire is currently under investigation and the cause is undetermined at this time.
