Soccer complex plans move forward in Davis County

FARMINGTON - Plans to develop a multi-field soccer complex at the Legacy Events Center continues to move forward with Davis County recently agreeing to pay for design and construction documents for the project.

The Davis County Commission approved a $47,000 contract with MGB+A The Grassli Group to provide design and construction documents, as well as oversight, in developing soccer fields at the events center, 151 S. 1100 West, Farmington.

The center serves as home to the annual Davis County Fair.

The commission recently approved the contract with the landscape architectural firm headquartered in Salt Lake City.

The intent is to have the soccer fields in place by next year, Davis County Legacy Events Center Director Dave Hansen said.

The fields will be developed just southeast of the Legacy Events Center indoor arena.
