Farr West festival deemed a success

FARR WEST — The Freedom Festival was a big success, says Councilman Paul Dinsdale, who said the city had budgeted $23,575 for the Freedom Festival and took in $16,509 with entrance fees and the dinner, and the difference can go back into the city budget.

Dinsdale thanked all of those who had helped with the festival. He said city employees and volunteers worked hard and were much appreciated.

Dinsdale said it was a learning experience for him.

Mayor Jimmie Papageorge said it was job well done and thanked Dinsdale for his work on the festival.
