OGDEN -- The Treehouse Children's Museum in Ogden will receive $74,300 in funding.
The Institute of Museum and Library Services recently announced about $18 million in Museums for America Program Grants awards, matched with about $34 mil-lion in matching nonfederal funds. The Ogden museum was one of the 152 recipients.
The grant will help Treehouse build a new, hands-on 1950s-style Storybook Diner exhibit next to the existing miniature hospital. The museum also plans to build a fire and police station in the same area, with funding from the American Dream Foundation.
The institute is the primary source of federal support for the nation's libraries and museums.
