Strike force earns ‘outstanding’ award

OGDEN — The Ogden chapter of the International Footprint Association, a law enforcement support group, has awarded its parent group’s national “Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer of the Year” award to the Weber-Morgan Narcotics Strike Force.

Pat Jacobson, representing the Ogden Chapter, said the award was decided at the group’s national convention in June and the plaque was presented to the strike force July 25.

The award was presented for the strike force’s role in the January incident in which one of its members, Jared Francom, was killed while executing a search warrant on a suspected drug producer.
