Wallace and Alyce Omer

Wallace “Tod” and Alyce Omer celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary at a family dinner in Elko, Nev.

They were married Aug. 10, 1947, in the Methodist Church in Deer River, Minn. They moved to Utah in 1951, living in Sahara Village, Arsenal Village and Hooper. They have lived in Roy since 1959.

He was born April 5, 1926, to Fred and Helen Omer in Deer River, Minn. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 32 years and spends his afternoons fishing.

She was born Feb. 18, 1928, to Arthur and Minnie Nelson in Federal Dam, Minn. She is a homemaker, an avid reader and enjoys going to the Roy Senior Center.

They are charter members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Roy.

Their children and spouses are Dennis and Anna Omer, Fremont, Calif.; Mark and Cheryl Omer, Ogden; and Cindy Omer (deceased).

Their grandchildren are Ryan and Kristen Omer, San Diego; and Shera Omer, South Ogden.

Their great-grandchildren are Zack Omer and Samantha Omer of San Diego.
