Syracuse awards bid for street project to Ogden company

SYRACUSE — An Ogden company has been awarded the bid to do a storm drain and street improvement project on 2525 South from 1000 West to Bluff Ridge Drive.

Advanced Paving & Construction Inc. was recently awarded the bid during a meeting of the city council. The council voted unanimously to accept the company’s bid of $149,516 for the project.

Advanced was one of six bidders for the project, said Robert Wheatley, public works director. He said the target area has been in need of repair for some time and the road is held together by crack seal.

Officials budgeted $185,000 for the project.
