The San Francisco 49ers announced this week they have signed TE Joe Sawyer to a three-year deal and TE Gijon Robinson to a one-year contract.
At 6-foot-3, 262 pounds, the 26-year-old Sawyer is a former Ogden High standout. His father, Butch, and brother, Omar, played at Utah State.
Joe Sawyer, known as JoJo to his family, started his college career at Snow College before transferring to Southwestern Oklahoma State.
There, he appeared in 21 games, registering 76 receptions for 782 yards and five touchdowns.
Robinson (6-1, 255) has played in 39 games (26 starts) and has registered 31 receptions for 240 yards and one touchdown in his NFL career.
