Utah murder suspect: ’I do not kill little girls

DRAPER — A suspect in the death of a Utah teen says he may be a convicted felon, drug dealer and gang member yet maintains from prison that he does "not kill little girls."

The Salt Lake Tribune reports Daniel Robert Ferry acknowledged in a jailhouse interview Wednesday in Draper that he is "no angel" and people can think he’s a scumbag, but he never killed anybody.

The Sandy man is serving a prison sentence of up to 15 years on kidnapping and drug charges unrelated to the death of Anne Kasprzak.

The 32-year-old Ferry initially was arrested months ago on suspicion of murdering Kasprzak but hasn’t been charged with anything related to the death. Her body was found in the Jordan River in March after her family reported her missing.
