Forever stamp bearing Utah state flag debuts

SALT LAKE CITY — A new forever stamp featuring the Utah state flag has debuted at post offices nationwide.

The stamp is part of the final series honoring the Flags of Our Nation.

The U.S. Postal Service is in the final year of a five-year launch of a 60-stamp series that includes the Stars and Stripes, all 50 state flags, five territorial flags and the District of Columbia flag.

The stamps have been issued in alphabetical order.

In addition to Utah, the state flags of Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming made their debut Thursday along with the flag of the U.S. Virgin Islands and flag of the United States.

The Utah stamp also features a blooming cactus and arch formation in the background.
