FARMINGTON — A 39-year-old man suffered a serious head injury in a skateboarding accident Saturday night.

The accident occurred about 7:50 p.m. at 100 East 500 North, said Fire Chief Guido Smith.

The man, whose identity was not released, was skateboarding without a helmet when he lost control, fell and struck his head on the roadway, Smith said.

He was airlifted by medical helicopter to Ogden Regional Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Saturday night, said Smith.
