Raymond and Marlene Lund

Raymond E. Lund Jr. and Marlene Lund of South Ogden will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20.

They were married on Aug. 20, 1948, in Ogden.

He was born to Raymond E. Sr. and Annie Mae “Jackie” Lund.

After graduating in 1944 from Ogden High School and serving honorably in the Navy, these Ogden natives met at the White City Ballroom. He told a friend that night that he was going to marry her.

She was born to Dellno H. and Evelyn Sturm.

She enjoys dancing of all styles, and she really enjoyed dancing to the sounds of a big band with the good looking boy with the “wavy hair.”

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1951.

Their two children and spouses are Lynette and Mike Satterfield of Roy, and Connie and Torris Brand of Roy.

They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild with another one on the way.
