South American fest offers food, music

BOUNTIFUL — Music, dance and food will mark the celebration of independence of 10 South American countries.

The community is invited to celebrate at the 7th Annual South American Festival Utah 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Bountiful City Park 400 N. 200 West.

Entertainment will include performances of salsa, merengue, vallenato, cumbias, boleros, Brazilian samba, tango, capoeira, cueca, reggaeton and Spanish rock, along with traditional South American folk dances.

The festival will also have games and entertainment for children.
